Canon FD 50-300 Zoom

The Canon FD 50–300mm Zoom is an absolutely gorgeous piece of glass. 

Canon’s “Super Zoom” from the legendary FD era, this is a 6x zoom with that magical vintage Canon soul.

Canon's legendary S.S.C. coatings give this lens that unmistakable FD vibe. Beautiful color, organic contrast, tasty flares, and uniquely textured bokeh. This zoom renders faces and backgrounds in a way that feels distinctly analog.

We think this lens is particularly special when combined with our rehoused Canon FD and K35s, but it also plays nice with other vintage primes. Leica R, Nikon, Olympus, Zeiss Jena, Minolta Rokkor, etc. It has enough personality to feel right at home with vintage glass, rather than using a modern zoom with a vintage set.

The GL Optics rehousing brings this classic zoom into the modern cinema world. PL mount. Parfocal. Focus rotation is long and smooth. Close focus has been improved to 6 feet. The 136mm front diameter is ideal for standard cinema support.

The original 8-blade iris has also been replaced with a 15-blade circular iris for that buttery vintage bokeh.
